Smarts on lease

Hi guys new to the forum, we've just sold a smart fortwo coupe and decided to get another one as they are great to use in leeds for work parking etc. Im thinking of maybe leasing one this time round though instead of an outright purchase. Me and my girlfriend searched the internet last night and came across the following deal seems cheap? whats the general opinion?

Re: Smarts on lease

If you havn't decided yet...go talk to Rob (post above).

Problem with leasing....the car is never yours (this can be good or bad I guess, depending on how attached you get to a car!!!)

.....you have got the car for a 'fixed term'.....if you find you don't like it (or circumstances change) it's harder/more expensive to swap to something else (IMO...again check very carefully with the small print on the offer you get!)

.....there are a lot of people who are dissapointed with the mhd version, because it is not proving anywhere near as economical as it should be!!

If you can afford it, much better to buy perhaps one of the last 450's, than get a new 451???

Re: Smarts on lease

it takes us 2 hours for 1link to say we can do the brakes, one time they said we could do the pads then came back to say no we carnt and then they said how much pad is left and then FINALLY said the go ahead. im not saying dont get a lease car, but i personally see them as a waste of time.
