I'm surprised at how relatively evenly split this debate is.

Absolutely loving the remap on our roadster, its like a completely different car, how it should have been smooth gear change, no scary drops in power at islands, safe overtaking, so much MORE fun ,

LOVING IT !

I love my new map - the biggest improvement is not dropping out of 6th on the motorway. All in all much more pleasant to drive.

Generally speaking if you are accelerating harder you are using more fuel, everything costs somewhere. The only exception to this is revs - if you use less revs for the same acceleration (ie a torque boost at low revs) then you may get a fuel saving. If you can change up at lower revs and maintain pre-map acceleration you may notice a slight improvement in economy. That was my plan untill I noticed how much fun the extra go was.

Wow, I could have written that!

That's pretty much how I feel.

Re: Is your Smart remapped?

will after christmas so all this talk on remaps , but nobody seems to say what remap they have ie small, medium, large. lol, or where they got it from. maybe for those who are thinking of getting one, there should be a pole on, who had what , and from where. its a mine field , who offers the best map for the right money. and do you have to pay £299 for a full blown map or can you get something for half that , thats as good.????? can we have a pole ? stick some names up of good remap software, and see who went where for it.
