Re: led fogs on 451

do you want them to stay on all the time or switch off when you switch your lights on?

Re: led fogs on 451

DRLs must legally be no brighter than 800 candela and I suspect these will be. Therefore they'll be seen as sidelights but that causes more legal problems as I believe you are only allowed to display 2 lights (or 2 banks of leds) in 1 position on each side of the car.
If you have these and the standard side lights, you have too many lights in too many positions. So you remove the standard sidelights right? Nope, you could have problems there too as they are supposed to be a certain distance from the edge of the car to denote its width.

At the end of the day, if they over a certain brightness and produce any type of glare to on coming traffic you will be unable to use them unless your forward vision is severely restricted. You aren't even legally allowed to have your fog lights on in clear weather if you are parked up.

Re: led fogs on 451

Yeah, as per what evilution said, you can only wire them up in two ways.

Fog lights; manually switched, only when you have your dipped beam on.

Driving lights; manually switched, only when you have your main beam on.

Anything else is classed as illegal.

If you require any advice wiring these up, give me a shout.

I suspect that the product you bought is made by "Ring", so they should have a wiring and legislation guide with them.

Regards,

Ben
