MPG on 451 & Miles out of a tank???

How many miles are people getting out of a full tank on their 451's?



I got 250 and had 0.5ltrs left... I dont really think thats that great...

i usually get that from my 450 with a 22 litter tank. and with the lack of 6th gear, i think thats about right, asumming its city driving

I used to get 280 out of my 450 (2003)...
I thought this one would be slightly better or on par... Cost me £37 to fill the damn thing to the brim and I only got the 250 by driving the car til there was only 0.5ltr left...

i still think the lack of 6th gear is the cause of the 451's poor MPG! but thats just me

I only do short journeys. Mine does around 65mpg. Never had the chance to do a long run on it yet, but the figures of 83mpg are way out. Roll on summer, maybe it will do more then?

I have a 451 84. during the summer it was doing 33mpg. then dropped to 30mpg when it got colder. last 4 tanks have done 27mpg.

city driving. 3-5 miles journeys with a fair amount of traffic. heated seats on. lights on. volume loud. heater on high. normal acceleration and driving. no putting my foot down.

doubt anyone on here can top my 27mpg figure as the worst 451 on fuel lol

Man... 27mpg... Makes owning a smart pointless... My Rangerover does 22mpg...
